Pumkin offers various solutions and services tailored for photographic and style agencies as well as artists, including photographers, stylists, hair and make-up artists, art directors and illustrators. Our extensive experience in working within the photographic industry enables us to understand the unique demands of this field and to provide facilities and consultancy to help IT and web-related systems run smoothly and more efficiently. We do this by providing website management software, Photoshop automation scripting, archiving and back-up systems, equipment set-up, technical advice and support, and creative solutions for the promotion of artists.
We have a range of website management systems designed and built from the ground-up to cater for individual artists' websites as well as those of agencies with multiple divisions. Our flagship system, SIGMA, features an intuitive drag-and-drop graphical interface, a built-in file manager, an automated back-up system and support for private collections of work that can be sent directly to a particular client.
SIGMA comes with a standard set of features and editable fields such as artist biographies, captions, weblinks, etc., but we can also customise the system to meet any specific requirements.
We also offer a range of more basic systems aimed at individual artists working to a smaller budget. These systems lack the more advanced features of SIGMA, notably the built-in file manager and drag-and-drop interface, but they still provide a very usable solution to website management.
Each of these systems work best when used in tandem with a Pumkin-built website, but they can often be used with an existing site. On request, we can make an assessment as to the suitability of a website to be integrated with any of our systems.

Adobe Photoshop offers a number of ways to speed the process of editing large numbers of
images, such as batch processing and the creation of droplets. However, Photoshop can also be programmed to handle more advanced processes and to make 'decisions' based on the
information it has about a file. A script could be run on a folder of images and be made to output several versions of the same file, apply filters, rotate, crop, rename and even organise the
resultant images into separate folders, all with much more flexibility than can be achieved with standard batch processing.
Much more can be done besides this, and if you regularly have large numbers of files to process,
we may be able to help speed things up dramatically. Don't hesitate to give us a call or email us to talk about the possibilities.
The onset of digital photography has brought with it many new considerations for artists and agencies, such as the storage of large files, archiving and cataloguing of digital image libraries, the distribution and sharing of files, and back-up solutions. We can advise as to the most
suitable approach to such issues and can help with the purchase of new software and
equipment if necessary.
We can also help with creative solutions to help with artist promotion. These include, for example, the design and creation of PDF portfolios that can be emailed to clients, email newsletters, website feature additions such as the facility to download images and other assets, and the design and production of printed materials.
Pumkin is about to launch the first version of our on-line file manager, designed and built by us to handle the sending of large files over the internet and intended as a tailored, flexible and more personal alternative to systems such as YouSendit. More information will appear here soon.
